(MENAFN– IANS) New Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS) Preeti Bajaj, CEO and MD of Luminous Power Technologies, stressed that to make women’s participation in the Economy 50%, everyone—government, businesses, and citizens—must work together. This step is crucial for India to become the world’s third-largest economy.
Bajaj said at the NDTV World Summit, “India has made progress, but to fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s vision, we need 50% women’s workforce participation.”
She added that while the government is making efforts, collaboration from all sectors is essential.
“To achieve this goal, industrialists and institutions must unite. Determination is key to success,” she stated.
Outlining a plan, Bajaj mentioned three main points: 1) Continuing infrastructure development under Union Minister Nitin Gadkari; 2) Focusing on education to retain talent in India; 3) Promoting ‘Make in India’ by developing solar products at Luminous.
She concluded, “If we focus on these three areas—infrastructure, education, and ‘Make in India’—we can achieve a developed India.”
