The 15th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum was held in Istanbul.

ISTANBUL – An important forum was held to strengthen ties between Türkiye and Gulf nations, attended by key officials like finance ministers from Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya. Türkiye’s Finance Minister, Mehmet ?im?ek, discussed global strategies, noting a decline in inflation and potential in global trade despite ongoing challenges. He emphasized the importance of partnerships in energy, manufacturing, and technology for regional development.

Dr. Erkan Kork, Chairman of BankPozitif, highlighted the common history and values among the attending countries, suggesting that collaboration could lead to a prosperous future. He expressed confidence in Türkiye becoming a global fintech leader and stressed the role of events like this in fostering international business relationships. Kork also pointed out Türkiye’s advantages in innovation and competitive processing times compared to Europe.

The forum featured significant participants, including the Central Bank Governor of Türkiye and other notable figures from Turkish financial institutions.
