SINGAPORE: In Shanghai’s lively ‘Ju Fu Chang’ area, there’s a new bar called ‘Strawberry Fields’ inspired by The Beatles. It opened in mid-September.
Owned by Mr. Daga, a 31-year-old former architect from Guangzhou, and Ms. Yiyi, a 26-year-old ex-fashion designer from Liaoning, the couple decided to follow their dreams by starting this bar despite economic challenges.
“I began bartending full-time in May,” Mr. Daga said. “After I quit my job, my partner left hers, and now we run the bar together.”
