Musk-backed pro-Trump group faces outreach issues, inflated stats.

REUTERS – Elon Musk’s political action committee, America PAC, which is supporting Donald Trump’s re-election, is having trouble in key swing states like Wisconsin and Nevada. They are falling short of their door-knocking targets and are looking into claims of canvassers possibly lying about the number of voters contacted.

With just two weeks until the Nov. 5 election, America PAC is trying to mobilize voters. Canvassers have been warned they’re behind on their goals. A Wisconsin volunteer reported that the chapter is likely to miss its target of reaching 450,000 voters by Election Day.

Alysia McMillan, a canvasser in Wisconsin, expressed concern that their shortfall could hurt Trump’s chances of winning. Although she faced issues with pay, she was later hired by another contractor.

Arizona canvassers received similar warnings. Chris Young, a Musk aide, is checking if tallies from Nevada canvassers have been inflated. America PAC also struggles to find enough people for audits.

Despite claims of inaccuracy regarding the Wisconsin shortfall, America PAC aims to meet its goals and conducts regular reviews of field performance.

The PAC focuses on reaching “low propensity voters” who might support Trump but not vote. Musk has reportedly donated at least $75 million to the group, which is vital for Trump’s campaign. He has recently become a strong supporter of Trump and may be considered for a government position if Trump wins.

America PAC’s operations, however, have faced difficulties. Many contract workers are leaving due to low pay, starting at around $20 per hour, coupled with issues like not being reimbursed for travel costs. In Nevada, there are reports of canvassers cheating by disguising their locations on apps.

America PAC is now actively looking for canvassers with pay starting at $30 per hour plus performance bonuses.
