(MENAFN) Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri Ghezelcheh emphasized strengthening economic ties with Tanzania during a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Dennis Lazaro Londo. Ghezelcheh, attending the fifth Joint Economic Committee meeting, noted shared cultural interests as a basis for expanding relations in various sectors.
This meeting was the first under the new Iranian government, showing Iran’s commitment to improving ties with Tanzania. Lando was optimistic about better communication and cooperation following the Iranian delegation’s visit.
Additionally, Iranian and Tanzanian tax officials signed a draft agreement to eliminate double taxation and prevent tax evasion. Signed by Hossein Abdollahi and William M. Moja, the agreement aims to attract investment and enhance economic relations. Final signing and approval are expected soon, paving the way for increased collaboration and tax transparency.
